My first blog.

It all begins with an idea.

It is said that blogs are one of the most effective ways of engaging with your customers. Through owning Bee Handmade, I’ve met so many wonderful people and even made amazing friends with our customers and I love being part of the social aspect of running this business. Blogging gives me an extra opportunity to include you all on our handmade journey and how we got to where we are today.

So look out for our blog posts and become part of the family with us while I work on your beautiful orders, I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Hi, my name is chelsea and I am the founder of Bee Handmade. I started this company completely by chance one day when my daughter wanted some new bows. So off my boyfriend, Craig, took me to buy the cheapest sewing machine we could find and a meter of pretty fabric - you can’t really go wrong with a cute floral can you? Even after all these years, florals are still in fashion. Craig was my biggest support and would sit with me watching YouTube videos and helping me figure out my new machine. I finally managed to complete my first bow and I was so super happy with myself, I couldn’t wait to give it to Amelia when she woke the next morning I handed it to her and her little face lit up!!! She was so happy with it and that in turn gave me the confidence boost to carry on with my practicing, making more and beginning a thriving business. Making a Facebook page was a huge step for my business, I was so scared to do it but with a little push from my family I did it and I was ready to showcase some of my products.

Fast forward a few years and here we are, we have 3k followers and now specialise is cute, bespoke and unique children’s clothing and accessories. I have taught myself everything I know about my business. I’ve made huge mistakes along the way but I have learnt from

them and it’s helped me improve my services and products.

I absolutely love what I do and seeing all of your babies in my clothing. It’s a HUGE passion of mine and I hope that shines through in my work.

I have a number one top helper called Elvis, he is a Great Dane (chief of slobber) but apart from him I am a one man band. From the second you send that first message to you getting your hands on the package, I do every single thing: customer service, cutting, sewing, packing and everything else. I don’t like to do things by halfs so you will notice extras and freebies in your parcels. I love making things look pretty and presentable.
